{"id":16883,"date":"2022-04-27T22:09:06","date_gmt":"2022-04-27T16:39:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/demo.testctsl.in\/indiafirstepaper?p=16883"},"modified":"2022-04-27T22:09:06","modified_gmt":"2022-04-27T16:39:06","slug":"disproportionate-assets-case-odisha-vigilance-arrests-grs-owning-59-plots-of-in-prime-location","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/demo.testctsl.in\/indiafirstepaper\/2022\/04\/27\/disproportionate-assets-case-odisha-vigilance-arrests-grs-owning-59-plots-of-in-prime-location\/","title":{"rendered":"Disproportionate Assets Case: Odisha Vigilance Arrests GRS Owning 59 Plots of in Prime Location"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Odisha Vigilance on Tuesday arrested a Gram Rojgar Sevak (GRS) after detecting assets worth crores of rupees, including 59 plots in prime locations of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, officials said.<\/p>\n<p>With a monthly salary of Rs 8,500, Babuli Charan Padhihari, serving as GRS in Injana panchayat, has been found to be in possession of several plots, flats and other properties.<\/p>\n<p>During raids at six places in Bhubaneswar, the Vigilance has found one triple-storey building worth Rs 1.24 crore, a house worth Rs 32 lakh, 2 BHK flat worth Rs 14 lakh and a single-storey building worth Rs 14 lakh along with over 50 plots in the prime areas of Bhubaneswar, and another plot at Barang, Cuttack.<\/p>\n<p>Besides, one four-wheeler (Rs 4.98 lakh), one two-wheeler along with cash, bank deposits and ornaments worth Rs 8.85 lakh have been recovered from his possession.<\/p>\n<p>He was found in possession of disproportionate assets which constituted 383 per cent of his known sources of income.<\/p>\n<p>The anti-corruption department has registered a case against Padhihari and his wife under the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Odisha Vigilance on Tuesday arrested a Gram Rojgar Sevak (GRS) after detecting assets worth crores of rupees, including 59 plots in prime locations of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, officials said.
