{"id":24522,"date":"2023-04-11T12:48:29","date_gmt":"2023-04-11T07:18:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/demo.testctsl.in\/indiafirstepaper?p=24522"},"modified":"2023-04-11T12:48:29","modified_gmt":"2023-04-11T07:18:29","slug":"heatwave-returns-to-odisha-as-mercury-touches-40-degrees","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/demo.testctsl.in\/indiafirstepaper\/2023\/04\/11\/heatwave-returns-to-odisha-as-mercury-touches-40-degrees\/","title":{"rendered":"Heatwave Returns to Odisha as Mercury Touches 40 Degrees"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>With mercury crossing the 40-degree Celsius mark for the first time this summer season on Monday, hot and humid weather conditions have made a comeback in Odisha.<\/p>\n<p>According to the evening bulletin of the Bhubaneswar centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD), Jharsuguda recorded the highest day temperature of 40.4-degree Celsius, followed by Baripada in Mayurbhanj district at 40-degree Celsius.<\/p>\n<p>Bhubaneswar, Chandbali, Angul and Sambalpur registered a maximum temperature of 39.7-degree Celsius each.<\/p>\n<p>Similarly, Malkangiri and Boudh towns recorded 39.5-degree Celsius each, while it was 39.2-degree Celsius at Sonepur and Titlagarh, while in Cuttack it was 39.1-degree Celsius.<\/p>\n<p>Bhadrak, Jagatsinghpur and Sundargarh towns witnessed a day temperature of 39-degree Celsius each.<\/p>\n<p>Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre scientist Umasankar Das said that the temperature will continue to rise by 2 to 3-degree Celsius at most places across Odisha during the next 2-3 days under the influence of dry and hot air coming from the north-west direction.<\/p>\n<p>In view of the summer season, the government had earlier announced morning classes for all students of Class I to XII from 7 a.m. to 11.30 a.m. from April 11 onwards.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>With mercury crossing the 40-degree Celsius mark for the first time this summer season on Monday, hot and humid weather conditions have made a comeback in Odisha.
