{"id":5220,"date":"2021-03-23T17:25:28","date_gmt":"2021-03-23T11:55:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/demo.testctsl.in\/indiafirstepaper?p=5220"},"modified":"2021-03-23T17:25:28","modified_gmt":"2021-03-23T11:55:28","slug":"saradha-case-cbi-combs-through-six-mumbai-locations-linked-to-sebi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/demo.testctsl.in\/indiafirstepaper\/2021\/03\/23\/saradha-case-cbi-combs-through-six-mumbai-locations-linked-to-sebi\/","title":{"rendered":"Saradha Case: CBI Combs Through Six Mumbai Locations Linked to SEBI"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) yesterday carried out searches at six premises in Mumbai linked to three SEBI officials in connection with West Bengal&#8217;s Saradha chit fund scam.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">A CBI source related to the probe said: &#8220;The agency is searching the official and residential premises in Mumbai of three SEBI officials, who were posted in West Bengal between 2009-13.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Another CBI source said that the searches are going on at the premises of DGM-level officer Prasanjit Dey and two CGMs, Jayant Jash and Jeevan Sonparote.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Recently, the CBI has quizzed several people connected with the Saradha chit fund scam as West Bengal prepares for an eight-phased staggered Assembly election starting March 27.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">The Saradha scam came to light in April 2013 and is estimated at over Rs 10,000 crore.
